Project Overview

This project focused on refining an existing video concept to improve overall production quality, clarity, and brand presentation. The objective was to take a previously developed piece and elevate it through more intentional editing, stronger motion design, improved audio quality, and a more polished visual treatment.

The final result is a more cohesive and engaging video that better communicates its message while aligning more closely with modern design and production standards.

Original Video

The original video provided a solid starting point, but several areas needed refinement to improve the overall viewing experience and production quality. The text overlay felt dated and did not fully match the level of polish needed for a stronger visual presentation. Background noise distracted from the audio, reducing clarity and making the sound feel unbalanced. In addition, the flow of the video needed improvement, as some sections felt uneven in pacing and could benefit from smoother transitions between scenes.

There were also opportunities to improve color and lighting consistency, which affected the overall visual quality of the piece. Some scenes felt less balanced than others, making the video feel less cohesive as a whole. The logo treatment lacked motion and did not create a strong branded moment, especially at the beginning and end. Together, these areas presented a clear opportunity to elevate the video through updated editing, improved motion graphics, cleaner audio, and a more refined visual finish.

Updated Video

The updated video focused on improving the areas that limited the original version and creating a more polished final piece. In Adobe Premiere Pro, the video was re-edited by cutting unnecessary sections, restructuring parts of the sequence, and adding new material to improve pacing and overall flow. These editing changes helped the video feel more intentional and engaging while creating smoother transitions from one scene to the next. Premiere Pro was also used to adjust color and lighting, resulting in a more consistent visual tone and improved clarity across all footage.

In Adobe After Effects, the outdated text overlay was redesigned and replaced with cleaner animated text graphics that feel more modern and visually aligned with the updated video. This improved readability and strengthened how key information is presented. A new logo animation was also developed in After Effects, using logo assets prepared in Adobe Illustrator, to create a stronger branded opening and closing. In Adobe Audition, the audio was refined by reducing background noise and balancing sound levels, resulting in a clearer and more cohesive listening experience. Together, these updates elevated the video across editing, motion, sound, and overall visual quality.

Final Overview

This project demonstrates the ability to evaluate an existing video, identify areas for improvement, and execute meaningful refinements that elevate the final result. By improving editing structure, enhancing motion graphics, refining audio quality, and creating a more consistent visual presentation, the updated video delivers a more polished and professional experience.

The final piece not only improves in quality, but also communicates its message more effectively through stronger creative decisions and a more intentional approach to execution.

Logo animation

Created logo animation to give the video a stronger branded presence and a more polished visual introduction. After Effects, Premiere Pro, and Illustrator were used to develop motion that felt clean, modern, and consistent with the overall tone of the piece.
