Project Overview
The PD67 Handheld RFID project demonstrates my ability to transform complex industrial technology into clear, engaging learning and marketing experiences. Working from engineering specifications, product documentation, and subject matter expert input, I developed visual assets, technical illustrations, marketing collateral, and instructional content that simplified RFID concepts for multiple audiences. The project required balancing technical accuracy with user-friendly communication, ensuring engineers, sales teams, distributors, and end users could quickly understand the product's capabilities and real-world applications.
3D Product Visualization
I created a library of photorealistic 3D product renderings that became the visual foundation for the product launch. Every rendering was developed to accurately represent the device's industrial design, materials, and functionality while providing flexible assets for technical documentation, marketing campaigns, sales presentations, and training materials. These visuals helped communicate product features long before traditional photography was available and ensured a consistent visual language across every customer touchpoint.
Marketing & Technical Documentation
The marketing collateral was designed to communicate complex technical information in a format that was easy to understand and visually engaging. Working with product managers and engineering teams, I translated detailed specifications into customer-focused messaging, feature callouts, diagrams, and supporting graphics that highlighted the handheld's RFID capabilities, industrial durability, connectivity, and operational benefits. The finished materials supported product launches, distributor education, customer presentations, and ongoing sales initiatives.
Product Knowledge
The PD67 is a rugged industrial handheld designed to simplify RFID data collection across manufacturing, warehouse, and asset management environments. Supporting both HF (ISO 15693) and UHF (ISO 18000-63) technologies with an optional 1D/2D barcode scanner, the device enables users to identify, read, write, and manage tagged assets from a single platform. Built with an IP67-rated enclosure, Android-based operating system, wireless connectivity, and customizable software, the PD67 provides a reliable mobile solution for commissioning, inventory tracking, maintenance, and production workflows.

Training & Learning Experience
To support product adoption, I developed instructional content that guided users through the operation of the PD67 using a structured, step-by-step learning approach. The materials combined product visuals, workflow diagrams, interface callouts, and practical demonstrations to explain RFID fundamentals, tag communication, barcode scanning, device configuration, and data management. By organizing complex procedures into logical learning modules, the content helped reduce the learning curve for new users while providing experienced operators with a reliable reference for everyday use.
